New Effort Launched to Improve Job Creation and Quality of Life in Central Iowa

Capital Crossroads is a 5 year planning effort to increase employment, diversity, and quality of life in Central Iowa.
This effort involves a 50 mile radius around central Iowa, and involves nearly 5000 community leaders.
The new vision would include improving efforts for job creators. “Between here and Ames and all that we can do in the bio science area to really lift great businesses emerging out of Iowa State and work to keep them here and flourishing in this Central IA area,” said Martha Willits of the Greater Des Moines Partnership.
In the past such planning has yielded a new Wells Fargo Arena, the Principal River Walk, and new downtown housing.
