Historically, Capital Crossroads was based on three guiding principles: Talent drives success, capture high-value opportunities, and growth must be sustainable. The ten Capitals, or work platforms, supported these three principles and formed the structure of Capital Crossroads.
The Capitals were the framework for our community’s well-being. They spanned the breadth of topic areas that make Central Iowa a top place to live, work, and play. They represented the significant work that remains to ensure all residents thrive. In short, the Capitals represented our common vision for a place that we’re all proud to call home.
