The Iowa Events Center Convention Hotel will be a 330-room, eight story hotel connected to the Iowa Events Center, and will be a game-changer for Greater Des Moinesā€™ ability to draw big conventions and events. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2018.

The Iowa Events Center Convention Hotel project is a truly collaborative public/private effort, as business community leaders have worked closely with the City of Des Moines and Polk County to move the project forward. The Iowa Events Center Hotel Corp. board was established by the city and county to oversee the project, and is led by Gerry Neugent, President and CEO of Knapp Properties and the 2015 Chair of the Greater Des Moines Partnership. The project would not be successful without the spirit of collaboration that exists in our community through efforts such as Capital Crossroads.
